Since it was Ryo’s birthday coming up I decided to re-watch this drama. The last time I watched this was last year and now I remember why I didn’t want to watch it again for a while.

Synopsis
This drama was based on the diary of Japanese girl named Aya who had an incurable disease that affected the part of the brain connected to her spinal cord. When she began to fall down more often and she when her brain wasn’t able to tell the difference of distance from her body to other objects, her mother decided to take her to the hospital. There she was diagnosed to have this rare disease called spinocerebellar ataxia. This disease affects her speech and movement but doesn’t affect her mind. Aya kept a diary by suggestion of the doctor to write down how she feels everyday. She kept writing in it till she could no longer hold a pen properly. This drama spans over 10 years till she dies at the age of 25. The diary alone has sold over 1.1 million copies.

My thoughts
Every few minutes into every episode makes you want to cry. Just seeing her struggle through everyday life is so encouraging. 1 Litre of Tears? More like 100 Litres to me and other fans too. My computer desk is a mess of tissues because I just finished the drama a couple of hours ago and when my mum saw me crying while watching the last episode she asked if she could watch it later too. It’s such a touching drama that you just have to cry with the characters in it.
The Family
The actors are so good and convincing that I just die crying. Even Ryo was pretty good even though his character never got with Erika’s in the end, officially I mean. Sure they went out for a few dates and they HINTED that they liked each other but pfft they never got together.
She used to like her basketball senpai but…
In the end of every episode you see a mini slideshow of the original Aya whom the drama is based on. It shows pictures of when she was born up till the last few months before she died as well as scenery that you would’ve seen during the episode.. The ending song Only Human by K makes the ending even better. Just hearing this song on my playlist makes me want to cry again.

Seriously you CANNOT can sick of this drama no matter how many times you have watched it.
Final Judgement
5 out of 5~ WHY?! Cause this series has made me cry numerous times more then anything else I have watched in my entire life. I know a COUPLE of people who were on the verge of crying but man you gotta be good if you didn’t otherwise i wouldve thought you were emotionless. Even Mary cries at non-sad dramas like NwP (she just told me that ^^).

The first time I watched the ending slideshow made me cry and Only Human is one of those songs that still make me choke up when it’s on.

1 Litre of Tears was my first drama which I had seen . I like it really and if I hear the song 9th march of the series, it remember me on the moments when I cried, so tears fall again.
