Our entries per month has decreased alot since we started out (check the archives section) so before February April (yes, this post has been in the draft section for quite awhile) ends I hope to bring up another review..we have a good excuse for the lack of reviews this month, Feb is the shortest month in the whole year! oh and i’m busy creating a new site now haha :P No, excuses now, it’s the holidays LOL and I’ve been slacking off on posts.

The album contains 11 tracks, with “Showtime” being the main hit promoted. There are several breakthroughs in this studio album including “Defeat In Love” being a cross-company duet with Elva Hsiao and “Keyman” being Show’s first try in composing the tune for an up-tempo song. Show Your Dance debuted at number one and held it for two weeks, later falling to #2 behing Cyndi Wang’s Fly! Cyndi.

My thoughts

Showtime lead me to download Show’s album. It’s a dance track and the MV definetely boosts and emphasises the ‘dance’ in this. The song is super catchy espicially the chorus and i see this track as a dance off type of song, mainly because of the bridge in the song where you can do ‘freestyle’ dance.

When we are together is practically the opposite of Showtime. This track is upbeat, pop and can really put a smile on your dial with the happiness this song shows off. This song can pull of dancing to as well because of it’s fast pace and the music of the show can definetely enable listeners to do some sort of can can dance. The MV is also bright and colourful :)

I cannot sing took me awhile to adjust to and to this day I’m still on a so-so fan base of this song. It’s a soft, slow and consists of mainly piano playing and is a song about breaking up and all so listeners better not listen to it while you’ve just broken up because it may lead to tears.

Defeat in Love is a middle paced song and is the song that’s a duet with Elva. This song does sound much better with Elva and both of their vocals sound very compatible. It’s a nice change from the rest of the songs although I’m still not fond of this song.

The first 10 - 20 seconds of Love no go’s (what type of title is this?) sounds great. This track involves an itsy bitsy bit of trance and is a groovy song. I dislike Show’s voice in this, espicially the chorus, it sounds soft and girly even though it suits the song.

Do it well…sounds boring IMO. I’m not much of a fan of ballads so this might be the cause. Show’s voice sounds really soothing throughout this song and is a simple and soft ballad. The instruments playing (mainly violin and piano) sounds absolutely beautiful though.

I love Lipodustrophy. It’s fast yet simple and the tune of this song sounds amazing. Show’s vocals really show off here and the chorus is so upbeat and fun. It’s another dance track and suits well during parties. One of my favourites in this album.

The beginning of Keyman reminds me of Micheal Jackson’s songs..but with lower vocals. Anotharrr dance song. The beat of this song sounds sophisticated and upbeat.

I dislike The lock of your heart. As I said before, I’m not a massive fan of ballads and this song is just soooo slow IMO. Practically sounds boring to me espicially the verses and I don’t really see any ’specialness’ in this song. Show sounds amazing still.

Gentleman like manner is another banner. It’s either there’s something wrong with me or this song is just an amazing ballad but I do like this song. The lyrics are sweet and the song is soft and Show’s voice sounds so comfortable. Sweet, soft and comfortable summarises the song. I also like how there’s more than those simple instruments playing, there’s the occasional drums and guitars in this song apart from the piano and is a song worth listening.

I dance therefore I am is another favourite of mine. Fast, catchy and upbeat and the chorus is absolute love. He sings pretty fast in this and it suits him well.

Overall

7.5/10. Too many ballads for me but the dance tracks definetely make up for it. And as if you haven’t noticed I love dance and upbeat type of songs.
