JAP Release ; FT Island - Soyogi

Well as I was doing my daily loitering around forums as usually I stumbled across FTI’s new release! YAY! Following the footsteps of many other famous Korean artists, FT Island has left Korea (for now) and focused on breaking into the Japanese market with their album called Prologue of FT Island. As an FT Island fan girl I wish them the best of luck as well! :D

My Thoughts:
Soyogi is a rock ballad, it’s slow in terms of melody but it’s still got those upbeat parts to the song. It seemed that Won Bin and Hong Ki took over the role of singing in this song whilst the other members stuck to their roles on the instrument. There are a few english lines in the song which makes them sound HOT (sorry fangirl moment) ! Therfore it would also make more sense that those two had more screen time compared to the other though it still would’ve been nice to see the others a little longer. Oh and we see Min Hwans smexy golden/ super sayain like hair! LOL

FT Island - Soyogi PV

I guess I can’t say there’s anything new about FTI in this album, maybe a more mature look and feeling in their songs, I’m still mesmerized as ever by Hong Ki’s ever so good vocals. This music video in general reminds me of Love Sick, with the forest/trees theme never the less I enjoyed this song after listening to it a few times and their Japanese is somewhat decent not like another boy band I know *ahem* .

Overall:
PV: 3 out of 5. The PV reminded me too much of love sick I would’ve give it 2.5 but the the boys prettiness was just to GAH!
Song: 4 out of 5. FT Island never ceases to amaze me! Besides the fact that they have looks talent wise they are just as equally amazing and it seems like Won Bin has improved with his singing and Hong Ki’s still as great as ever.

Their Japanese sounds pretty bad, they like break up the syllables though, so gaijin-ish.

I don’t like the song to be honest but I can’t wait for their Japanese album
