Background Info: SHINee (Korean: 샤이니) is a five-member boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2008. The group debuted on May 25, 2008 on SBS Popular Songs with the single, “누난 너무 예뻐(Replay)”. The group consists of members Onew (the leader), Jonghyun, Taemin, Minho, and Key. (WIKIPEDIA)

After a while of having this album on my comp I finally decided to do a review on them because I’ve just been fan-girling over REPLAY lately. SHINee is SM’s new boy band group with looks like Big Bang and ages like FT Island, but the difference is in their music.

My Thoughts:
Noona is very pretty (REPLAY) is without a doubt my favourite SHINee track and imo the best choice for a debut song. It’s an RNB track consisting of nice electronic beats/background and nice vocals. Without a doubt the lyrics is just as catchy and they all look HOT in the music video! KEYY! Taemin just needs another hair cut but!

In my room I won’t lie and say that I didn’t laugh when I saw the song title. I don’t know why maybe my fellow members do. The opening sounded like a Chinese song I’ve heard of but only the first few seconds. The song is a ballad and it’s pretty nice and sweet, I really like their harmonising in this song, I guess it’s an advantage of having 5 guys in a group. I think I can pick up JongHyun’s vocals, soothing as usual and Key’s as well!

Real reminded me of a song Super Junior would cover, not really a SHINee song judging from their first two tracks. It starts off with a really fast/crazy Mozart like piano piece. A very happy/poppy song, I really like the rap but overall it’s a pretty decent song the beats pretty good.

Love Should Go On has a more and noticeable electronic feel to it, more like a rap and the background music is pretty casual. I don’t like this song to be quite frank. Not great compared to the first two but not as good as the third track either.

Noona is very pretty (REPLAY) Remix/Boom Track. There’s nothing really different in terms of melody and lyrics wise. There are more beats make that heavier beats. It’s alright but the original is definitely much better.
