My thoughts:
After hearing so many people brag on and on about how good this movie was I gave into pressure and decided to check it out for myself as I am not really into Korean dramas or movies that much. Though I did read a few reviews and the synopsis itself to see how good it was, but finally after watching it I was quiet impressed actually. The storyline was cute and funny but a little cliché as in the idea that a fat girl wants a guy who rejects her for being fat. Well he didn’t really reject her but she went under surgery to impress him.
It’s actually quiet realistic as well as this is the things that women do in today’s society just for the attention of a man, which I find totally unbelievable yet believable. Anyways back to the movie, the actors themself did an impressive job and I myself think that Ju Jin Mo is cute, ah his smile mans. Kim Ah-Jung impressed me heaps with her emotions and sense of humour in the movie and the scene when she’s singing if that is her really voice claps for her.
It’s actually quiet hilarious throughout the whole movie even when there are supposedly supposed to be serious scenes. My favourite quote from the movie ‘You broke my heart, tissue won’t fix it’ you couldn’t help but get a little teary there, that was practically the confrontation scene on the movie.
Final Judgement:
I’d give it 8/10 minus 2 for the cliché-ness of the storyline. But the actors and actresses did a good job, I liked the songs Maria and Beautiful girl, OST recommended to listen.
Hmm… might check this out because I’ve heard good things about it. Though I’ve never been able to get into k-media for some reason I keep trying, haha.
i wonder will my confidence raise after seeing this movie :) but i believe it must be hilarious. i watched some korean comedy and i find that they are “strong” enough to “shake” me (i mean, i giggled :P)
to selina: i saw your latest pic and i fond that u r gorgeous :)
so u live in sidney? well, melbourne is one of my make-a-wish thing :)
ahah that picture is not me! its Linda Chung from TVB…I’m not that old, she’s like 9 yrs older than me! ROFL
Lol yeah we all live in Sydney, Sydney is better than Melbourne!
But Melbourne has more anime cons D: and more anime stores
I was a little skeptical of this movie, but after watching it, it did better than I thought it would.
I didn’t find it too cliched but thats prob just because I never really encountered such a scenario. I mean, there were other things that were just “Wow.” and typical, but overall, it was pretty new to me.
I do agree with the fact that they sorta showed the pains a woman goes through in order to get a man. (Oh, how well I know -_-)
